I create the art I imagine. Ideas sometimes play in my mind until I have to take action. That’s when I head to my studio, a wood and metal working shop here in Minnesota. I get lost in the artistry and time zips past, as I saw and sand wood, cut and scrape steel. I love how the cutouts in the steel reveal the wood grain from beneath it and create details, like the tattered stripes of the flag.
